Institutional Brand Identity

The Mesa Arts Center branding program began with our development of a dynamic symbol that drew inspiration from the building architecture as well as the experiential nature of the arts. A human form was integrated into the symbol in a celebratory pose to reflect the experience and joy of making artwork or taking it in as a patron.

Business System

The Center’s institutional brand was applied to letterhead, envelopes and business cards. The brand positioning “Let it move you” is a call to action to move yourself out to Mesa to enjoy the arts, as well as an acknowledgement of the transforming nature of experiencing the arts.

Brand Identity Standards Manual

A comprehensive brand standards manual was created to provide an easy-to-use reference for City of Mesa and Mesa Arts Center staff to ensure consistent use of the new graphic identity program. We created a coordinated print and electronic marketing communications campaign to launch the new Arts Center to internal and external audiences.

Sub-branding

Shown here with the banners, a contemporary color palette was used as a visual device on building signage, in marketing collateral, as well as online to guide patrons to the Contemporary Art Gallery (gold), the Performing Arts Theaters (red for the curtain) or the Arts Studios classrooms (green).

Website

In addition to branding this $96 million art center, we designed and developed the website. The site delivers event details, class information, ticket purchasing functionality, registration functionality, and advanced calendar capabilities in a branded, intuitive and entertaining interface.
