The creation of a memorable symbol to represent a large and dynamic institution demanded a strategic, disciplined process. Over the course of three years, the new identity was applied throughout the campus, and on all University marketing and communications materials.
The initial graphic standards manual was created to provide an easy-to-use reference to ensure consistent use of the new graphic identity program as it was rolled out to the University.
The initial launch of the new brand identity included promotional materials that helped convey the essence of the new symbol representing the University as a source of enlightenment for the community.
Updated standards for print, signage and web are accessed through this interface on the ASU website, along with approved graphics and downloadable PDF standards documents.
The Barrett Honors College sub-brand was the first approved by ASU’s president. The recruiting materials highlight a few of their extraordinary students through the use of biographies and warm and expressive photography.
